Rider Agreement & Delivery Standards

Last Updated: October 26, 2026 • Miss Knight's Grocery LLC (Titusville, FL)

1. Rider Qualifications & Age Mandate

To maintain strict compliance with Florida beverage laws (Fla. Stat. § 561.57), all Knights Express delivery riders—whether store employees or independent contractors—must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid driver's license, maintain compliant vehicle liability insurance, and pass a license verification check before claiming orders.

2. Mandatory Physical Age Verification Protocol

When delivering orders containing alcohol or tobacco, riders must execute the non-negotiable physical verification sequence:

  • Physically inspect the recipient's government-issued photo ID.
  • Capture a clear photograph of the ID using the rear camera on the rider app.
  • Enter the recipient's date of birth and verify age is 21+.
  • Obtain the recipient's physical signature on the delivery device.
  • Never leave age-restricted items unattended or with an unverified individual.

3. Refusal & Return-to-Store Obligation

Riders have full authority and the statutory legal obligation to refuse delivery if the recipient cannot produce valid ID, is under 21, or exhibits signs of intoxication. Refused age-restricted items must be returned immediately to Miss Knight's Grocery. Store staff will inspect and sign off on the returned items in the system.

4. Compensation & Tip Transparency

Riders receive transparent earnings calculated per completed delivery:

  • Base Delivery Payout: $3.00 per order.
  • Age Verification Bonus: $0.50 for each completed physical ID verification.
  • 100% of Tips: All customer tips are paid directly to the delivery rider with zero platform deductions.

5. Independent Contractor Agreement

Independent riders operate as independent contractors, provide their own vehicle and equipment, and must complete an executed W-9 and written rider contractor agreement prior to activation.
